Century-old HVAC brand, stronger in commercial than residential
Carrier invented modern air conditioning in 1902 and remains one of the largest HVAC companies globally. In New Zealand, their presence is primarily commercial — large building systems, industrial units, and commercial installations. Their residential range exists but is a smaller part of their NZ offering.
For South Auckland homes, Carrier residential units perform adequately. The range is narrower than the major residential-focused brands and their smart home integration and consumer-facing features are less developed. Where they genuinely excel is commercial applications — offices, warehouses, and larger premises.
